Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: burglaries in hotels on Rügen: the police are hoping for clues

Sellin (dpa / mv) - Within a few nights, unknown persons broke into several hotels on the island of Rügen to steal cash. As a police spokesman said on Monday, five such burglaries have been reported in Lohme, Glowe and three times in Sellin since Friday. Since the perpetrators hardly found any cash, the property damage was several thousand euros higher than the value of the stolen goods. A youth hostel was also affected in Sellin. A connection between the burglaries will be examined, the investigators hope for clues. There has never been such a series of burglaries in hotels in the region.
