The foundation was so impressed by the doctors' voluntary commitment that they doubled the amount.
According to the DSD, the organ was inaugurated in July 1770 as the third largest organ instrument in the world and has since been rebuilt several times. The cooperation with the foundation started last year with concerts for the flood victims in the Eifel and on the Ahr.
