Waren (dpa/mv) - A novice driver from the Mecklenburg Lake District raced through a 100 zone at 216 things. The 20-year-old, who is still on probation, now has to answer for an illegal car race, a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday. He was noticed by a police video car when he was traveling on federal highway 192 between Penzlin and Waren. He ignored a red light and overtook other cars in a very risky way. The young man raced in front of the civilian police vehicle for almost 20 kilometers before he was caught after turning onto a county road near Waren.
