North Rhine-Westphalia: Bielefeld gives defender de Medina to Braunschweig

Braunschweig (dpa / lnw) - Second division soccer team Arminia Bielefeld gave up his defender Nathan de Medina shortly before the end of the transfer to bottom of the league Eintracht Braunschweig. The 24-year-old signed a one-year contract with Lower Saxony. "I'm sure he'll get a lot more playing time in Braunschweig than we were able to offer him here," said Arminia's sporting director Samir Arabi.

De Medina was trained in the youth department of RSC Anderlecht and moved to Bielefeld in 2020. The versatile defender can be used in the center of defense and on the right flank. After six games, the Braunschweig team is in last place in the 2nd Bundesliga table with just one point and a goal difference of 3:15.
