Hannover (dpa / lnw) - Second division soccer team Hannover 96 will have to do without their defense chief Julian Börner in the away game at SC Paderborn (on Saturday (1 p.m. / Sky). The 31-year-old has thigh problems. "Börni will not be able to play on weekend. He didn't give good feedback in training yesterday and the day before yesterday. That's why we took him out of training again," said coach Stefan Leitl on Thursday about the former Bielefeld player.
After the unsuccessful start to the season with the 1:2 in Kaiserslautern and the 2:2 against St. Pauli, the Lower Saxony want the first win. "Now it's our turn to score points. And three points at that," said Leitl. "I see an evolution in general. The biggest evolution has been seen in the way we play football," he continued. "Every player wants to have the ball. We're brave. We're on the right track there."
