Mülheim/Ruhr (dpa/lnw) - As before in Munich, Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg and Dresden, the exhibition "The Mystery of Banksy - A Genius Mind" is also turning out to be a crowd puller in the Ruhr area. The show about the street art star in the Technikum in Mülheim an der Ruhr has already exceeded all expectations with 35,000 tickets sold in the first two months, the organizers announced on Friday.

Due to its great success, the exhibition will be extended by three weeks until February 5, 2023. The Banksy show has already attracted more than a million visitors to the museums and exhibition rooms since the world premiere in Munich in March 2021.

Until January 15, visitors to the Technikum still have the opportunity to enjoy art in a double pack and to see two unique exhibitions. Because parallel to Banksy, according to the makers, the world's most successful immersive exhibition "Van Gogh - The Immersive Experience" will be shown in Mülheim.
