North Rhine-Westphalia: Improper handling of fire: woman dies

Krefeld (dpa / lnw) - An 81-year-old woman caught fire in her apartment in Krefeld and died. According to the police on Monday, the elderly woman "handled an open flame improperly" on Sunday evening. A police spokeswoman said she may have died as a result of her burn injuries. Rescue workers came too late and could not do anything for the woman.
