Hagen (dpa / lnw) - He wore "security" clothing and was equipped with a taser, telescopic baton, animal repellent spray and a cartridge for a firearm. With this outfit, a 20-year-old ran through downtown Hagen on Tuesday evening. According to his statement, he wanted to get a price for civil courage, according to a police spokesman it was about the "XY price". A police statement said: "The police officers did not understand the joke, took most of the items from him and expelled him from the city center."

The "XY Prize", endowed with 10,000 euros, is awarded by ZDF and the production company of the program "Aktenzeichen XY... unsolved". Honored are "persons with civil courage who have worked in an exemplary and clever way in the fight against crime for their fellow human beings".
