Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) - Production in North Rhine-Westphalia's main construction trades increased slightly in March 2022 compared to the same month last year. As reported by the State Statistical Office (IT.NRW) on Wednesday, it was 1.6 percent higher than in March 2021. In building construction (minus 0.6 percent), production even fell. In civil engineering, on the other hand, it was 3.9 percent higher than in March last year.
Looking at the detailed figures for building construction, it is noticeable that residential construction (−1.6 percent) fell more sharply than commercial and industrial building construction (−0.1 percent). Construction output in public building construction ( 2.8) was higher than in March 2021. Production in road construction ( 5.9) increased more strongly than commercial and industrial civil engineering ( 3.2) and other public civil engineering ( 2nd ,9), determined the statisticians.
