North Rhine-Westphalia: the car hits the e-bike driver: she dies in the hospital

Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A cyclist was hit by a car in Cologne and later died of the injuries. According to a police spokesman on Sunday, the 50-year-old was on a bike path on Christmas Eve with her e-bike. A 71-year-old driver wanted to turn right at an intersection and overlooked the woman. The car hit the cyclist. She was thrown against the windshield and fell to the ground. Rescue workers were initially able to resuscitate her, but a few hours later the 50-year-old died of her serious injuries in the university hospital.
