"The Christmas market weather is not bad, especially if you like the cold," said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Essen. On Friday it was very cloudy with maximum temperatures of zero to three degrees, there was little sun. From the evening there will be a little snow in the Eifel and Sauerland. Frost and slippery weather are to be expected during the night.
According to the DWD, the weather situation on Saturday is similar: light snowfalls are again possible in the Sauerland, according to the expert. Otherwise it is mostly dry and it can also loosen up - at temperatures of a maximum of minus one to plus two degrees.
The weather is calm for the third Advent. It could snow from time to time. According to the DWD, the plus degrees are becoming increasingly rare and there may be permafrost in some areas.
