North Rhine-Westphalia: Toten Hosen start their anniversary tour in Cologne

This year the Toten Hosen are celebrating their 40th birthday. The band from Düsseldorf will start their big tour for the anniversary in the "forbidden city" of Cologne, of all places.

Cologne (dpa / lnw) - The Toten Hosen start their anniversary tour on Friday evening (8.30 p.m.) in Cologne. Under the motto "Everything out of love - 40 years of the Toten Hosen", the band comes to the Rheinenergie Stadium, which has been sold out for four months with 40,000 spectators. The opening act includes Feine Sahne Fischfilet.

Band leader Campino appealed to the audience shortly before the start of the tour: "Please go full throttle! We need you. Otherwise the ball won't get rolling." For the first time, the Düsseldorf band begins a tour in the rival neighboring city of Cologne.

610,000 tickets have already been sold for the 18 concerts in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
