Dresden (dpa/sa) - In Saxony, 110 schools are part of the "School without Racism - School with Courage" network. The number of participating schools is constantly growing. According to the information, 48 high schools, 46 high schools, seven primary and special schools and nine other institutions are part of the network in Saxony. While one new school was added in 2020, there were nine new teaching locations in 2021. According to a spokeswoman for the Saxony State Coordination, six more schools were admitted by the end of September 2022. "But titles will certainly be awarded this year," said the spokeswoman.

In the facilities with the title "School without Racism - School with Courage", students fight against all forms of discrimination with campaigns and projects. According to its own statements, it is the largest school network in Germany. More than 3,600 schools belong to it.

Before a facility can join the network, at least 70 percent of school members must agree to join and make a commitment. The self-commitment includes, among other things, that the school carries out sustainable projects and events to overcome discrimination, especially racism.
