Saxony: household exam: state school council for priority for schools

Radebeul (dpa / sn) - With a view to the ongoing budgetary exam of the state government, Saxony's state student council has called for higher investments in education. "The next double budget must give priority to schools," the student council said in a statement on Tuesday. Digitization must be pushed forward, also with sufficient further training opportunities for teachers. The state program for school social work should be expanded. Every school in Saxony must have access to a school social worker. The temporary state program for school assistance, which is about to expire, must also be extended.

Saxony's government went on a two-day budget retreat in Radebeul on Tuesday. Results are to be presented on Wednesday afternoon. It's about the double budget 2023/24.
