Saxony: Saxony: Regional Directorate provides information on unemployment

Chemnitz (dpa/sn) - The Federal Employment Agency informed today (10:00 a.m.) about the development of unemployment in Saxony. Most recently, in December, the number of unemployed in Bavaria rose by 1.7 percent. According to this, around 122,200 people were without a job. The unemployment rate was 5.8 percent. For this year, the regional directorate expects unemployment to be higher overall than in 2022. According to a forecast by Managing Director Klaus-Peter Hansen, the rate will average more than 6 percent. This is due to economic uncertainties.
