Kölleda (dpa/th) - The Thuringian provider of communication and security technology Funkwerk has recorded lower sales. 47.9 million euros in the first six months compared to 58 million in the same period last year, as the company announced on Tuesday. The previous year's figure was characterized by state subsidies for the conversion of train radios. According to the announcement, the profit was 9.1 million euros after 12.8 million in the same period of the previous year.

According to Funkwerk, the biggest challenges include supply bottlenecks, supply chain disruptions and price increases, which would be significantly exacerbated by the war in Ukraine. Added to this is the sharp increase in energy prices, which is reflected above all in transport costs.
