Yazmin Oukhellou, star of The Only Way Is Essex, is stable and in recovery in hospital after she was involved in a fatal car accident that claimed the life of her friend.

Yazmin Oukhellou, star of The Only Way Is Essex, is stable and in recovery in hospital after she was involved in a fatal car accident that claimed the life of her friend.

According to reports, Ms Oukhellou was with Jake McLean in a car which veered off a Bodrum cliff.

Towie stars Amber Turner and Demi Sims have shared messages of support via their Instagram accounts.

Representative of Ms Oukhellou stated that Yazmin is stable after her surgery.

"Yazmin, her family have asked for privacy at this moment."

According to the Foreign Office, it is supporting "the family of a British citizen who died in Turkey".

A spokesperson said that they were also supporting the family of a British woman who was hospitalized.

He said that the Foreign Office was in contact with local authorities in the country.

Ms Oukhellou was the first towie star to make her Towie debut in 2017. Her relationship with James Lock was also documented on the reality television show.

Amber Turner posted on social media: "Thinking about you, can everybody keep Yaz in prayers tonight?" and Demi Sims wrote: "Praying to you my love."

Harry Derbidge shared photos of himself with her, and stated that he was thinking about her.

Lime Pictures, the production company for Towie, has been contacted to comment.
