XXL lapels and skinny jeans: Emma Watson opts for a quirky outfit

Emma Watson actually likes to hold back from the public recently. But now the actress is a guest at the Fashion Week in Paris and competes with the models on the catwalk. For one of the shows she appears in a particularly idiosyncratic look.

Actress Emma Watson showed up in one of her rare public appearances in her native city of Paris, France. She appeared in an unusual outfit for the Schiaparelli show as part of Fashion Week.

The Brit's ensemble consisted of a dark short blazer with XXL lapels and accentuated shoulders over a white button-up shirt with a stand-up collar. In addition, the 32-year-old combined skinny jeans with rips on the knee and Dr. Martens Chelsea boots and a black handbag with gold handles.

With her hairstyle, Watson relied entirely on the naturally elegant Parisian style: her shoulder-length hair was styled in light waves. A red lipstick, eyelashes washed with mascara and blush on the cheeks complemented the look perfectly.

Most recently, Emma Watson walked the red carpet at the 2022 BAFTA Awards in March. At the time, she wore an elegant Oscar de la Renta gown - with a luxurious black velvet camisole and white tulle skirt - and sparkling shoulder-length earrings.

Before that, she sported another striking look in October 2021 at the inaugural awards ceremony for the Earthshot Prize - an environmental program set up by Prince William and British naturalist Sir David Attenborough to inspire solutions to climate change. In keeping with the theme of the event, Watson wore an upcycled black and white bespoke Harris Reed wedding dress with a crocheted lace and tulle bodice and billowing black trousers.

In May 2021, Emma Watson took to social media to address rumors speculating about the status of her relationship with US businessman Leo Robinton and the future of her career.

"Dear fans, Rumors about whether I'm engaged or not, or whether my career is 'on hold or not' are ways to generate clicks each time they turn out to be true or false," she tweeted. "If I have any news - I promise I'll share it with you."

Finishing her tweets with a positive update amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, she wrote: "In the meantime, please assume no news from me just means I'm sitting out the pandemic like most people - I can do it not baking sourdough bread (!), taking care of my loved ones and doing my best not to spread the virus that is still affecting so many people."
