"The Legacy of the Knights Templar": Hollywood star Harvey Keitel returns

There is not much to see in the first short teaser for the series spin-off of the adventure films "The Legacy of the Knights Templar" (2004) and "The Legacy of the Secret Book" (2007). The short clip, which was shown at Comic-Con in San Diego, at least gives a first look at leading actress Lisette Olivera.

In the Disney series "National Treasure: Edge of History", the newcomer plays the young immigrant Jess Morales, who embarks on the traces of her family history - and on a search for treasure.

She follows in the footsteps of Nicolas Cage (58), who played treasure hunter Benjamin Franklin Gates in both films. He will not play a role in the series, nor will his co-star at the time, Diane Kruger (46), aka Dr. Abigail Chase.

However, there is a reunion with Justin Bartha (44), who embodied IT expert Riley Poole in both films. And another returnee was officially announced at Comic-Con: Hollywood star Harvey Keitel (83). He will reprise the role of FBI Special Agent Peter Sadusky.

The rest of the cast is also impressive. Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones (52) will play a leading role in the series as a tough billionaire and specialist for the antique black market. Also on the cast list are Lyndon Smith, Zuri Reed, Jake Austin Walker, Antonio Cipriano and Jordan Rodrigues.

It is not yet known when the series will premiere at Disney. The first season will have a total of ten episodes. A third film in the series is also in development.
