Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The products of Baden-Württemberg sparkling wine producers from the past financial year are enough for 73,000 full baths. This was announced by the State Statistical Office on Wednesday, just in time for New Year's Eve. A total of 87,766 hectoliters of sparkling wine from local vines are stored in Baden-Württemberg. The statisticians reckon with 120 liters of sparkling wine for a full bath.
Together with the supplies from France, Italy and Spain stored in the state, the barrels in Baden-Württemberg are even filled with a total of 181,711 hectoliters of the noble liquid. One hectolitre equals 100 liters. When it comes to sparkling wine, the Ländle is well prepared for the start of the year.
