Baden-Württemberg: man shoots at alleged thieves with a stun gun

Ulm (dpa / lsw) - A 20-year-old man fired shots at four men in Ulm with a stun gun - assuming that they had stolen a bag and cell phone from his car. According to the police on Monday, the men have nothing to do with the theft. The 20-year-old now has to answer for violation of the gun law and a threat. No one was injured or endangered by the shots.

The 20-year-old parked his car on Sunday but did not lock it. When he returned, his shoulder bag and cell phone were missing. At home, he located his cell phone via an app and drove off to get it. At the alleged location, the four men were between the ages of 20 and 31. When he drew his stun gun, the men fled - and the 20-year-old shot after them.

According to the police, the 20-year-old failed to update the location of his stolen cell phone. During further investigations, his stolen mobile phone was finally located elsewhere. There, the police arrested a 30-year-old man. He had the mobile phone and other items from the 20-year-old's bag with him.
