Baden-Württemberg: Tourismusverband Schwäbische Alb: guests with a 9-euro ticket

Bad Urach (dpa / lsw) - After the introduction of the 9-euro ticket, the number of guests over Pentecost in the Swabian Alb region is high - especially compared to Pentecost 2020 and 2021. The Swabian Alb Tourism Association announced this on Sunday in Bad Urach (district Reutlingen) on request.

Among other things, the tourist information from Ellwangen, Göppingen, Bad Urach, Rottweil and Tübingen reported that up to 10 percent of the guests had traveled with the 9-euro ticket. "There was also some positive feedback from guests about the 9-euro ticket, such as spontaneous trips to Bad Urach or Rottweil that would otherwise not have taken place," said association manager Louis Schumann.

The guests wished that the public transport accessibility of sights or hiking trails would be improved in the future, said Schumann. "A classic extreme example of our region: From Bad Urach to Lichtenstein Castle, a guest needs around two hours by public transport. The castle is ten kilometers away as the crow flies."
