Baden-Württemberg: VfB Friedrichshafen extended with middle blocker Böhme

Friedrichshafen (dpa / lsw) - Bundesliga volleyball club VfB Friedrichshafen has prematurely extended the contract with middle blocker Marcus Böhme by one year. The contract with the 36-year-old, which initially ran until 2023, is now valid until the summer of 2024, the cup winner and runner-up announced on Thursday. Managing director Thilo Späth-Westerholt sees no problem in the age of the veteran. "You only have to look at Marcus, he's fitter than some 20-year-olds," he said. The 2.12 meter tall Bohemian played for Friedrichshafen from 2009 to 2012 and returned to Lake Constance in October 2020.
