Lauf an der Pegnitz (dpa/lby) - An 82-year-old driver was killed in an accident on Autobahn 9 in Central Franconia. According to initial findings, the woman drove on the wrong side of the road towards Berlin on Wednesday afternoon, the police said.
Shortly before the Lauf-Hersbruck junction, there was a collision with two vehicles that were going in the right direction. The 82-year-old suffered such serious injuries from the force of the impact that she died at the scene of the accident. The drivers of the other two vehicles, two men aged 60 and 79, suffered minor injuries.
