Munich (dpa / lby) - A good year after a dead man was found in a Munich apartment, the police are again looking for witnesses to a violent crime. Investigations had shown that the 49-year-old had traded illegally in medicines before his death, the police said on Friday. The man died as a result of "massive external violence". So far, the police have not identified a suspect in the case. The State Criminal Police Office has offered a reward of up to 10,000 euros for information.
Firefighters found the man's body on November 5, 2021 in his apartment in the Neuhausen district of Munich. Investigators quickly found evidence of a violent crime. Despite many traces, it remained unclear who could have committed the crime.
According to the police, the victim had planned a birthday party shortly before his death and invited guests from his native Croatia. Family members later called the police after failing to reach the man for several days. The 49-year-old was last seen alive on October 20, 2021.
