Bavaria: TSV 1860 Munich expects "savvy" Ingolstadt

Munich (dpa/lby) - Leader TSV 1860 Munich is hoping for the return of defender Leandro Morgalla for the neighborhood duel in the 3rd soccer league with FC Ingolstadt. "Leo was almost fully involved in team training," reported coach Michael Köllner ahead of the "Löwen" home game on Saturday (2:00 p.m.) against the second division team that had been relegated. "In a game like this, a stake only makes sense if you can fully counter it, 80 or 90 percent is not enough." Morgalla recently had hip problems.

Captain Stefan Lex had to step back this week because of a thigh problem. "Training went pretty well on Thursday. If I'm at 100 percent, then I'll be there," announced the former Ingolstadt resident on Friday. Koellner said: "Stefan is one of our most important players. I have the last word, but of course he has a say in fitness."

The "lions" prepare for a highly motivated opponent. Every Ingolstadt player will "go to the maximum. You almost have to win with us to stay in touch. It will definitely be a really great game," said Köllner. 1860, as table leaders after ten games, already has seven points more than FC Ingolstadt.

"These are a savvy men's team with a lot of experience. Ingolstadt have a good transition game, have a lot of power and quality up front. They will demand everything from us on defense," warned Köllner. Lex said: "It's a tough job to drill through. But with the support of our fans, we can do it."
