Hesse: Frankfurt's Riederwald tunnel is becoming more expensive

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - The construction of the Riederwald tunnel in Frankfurt is more expensive than previously estimated. Additional conditions had been imposed, and the price increases had to be taken into account, Autobahn GmbH announced on Wednesday on request. A new sum will be available in the first half of 2023. So far, there is talk of 477 million euros. The Hessischer Rundfunk (hr) had previously reported that the costs for the controversial connection of the A 66 to the A 661 in Frankfurt would rise to well over 600 million euros. Autobahn GmbH did not comment on this when asked. The tunnel should be finished in 2031.
