Hesse: truck loses aluminum bars on the highway

Felsberg (dpa / lhe) - A truck lost loaded aluminum bars in an accident on Autobahn 7. Property damage of around 260,000 euros was caused on Monday night near Felsberg in the Schwalm-Eder district, according to the police. The Autobahn 7 in the direction of Kassel was initially completely blocked. The 43-year-old driver left the highway on a wet road and crashed into the concrete barrier in the middle of the street. He was unharmed, but lost all cargo. Four following cars could not have avoided and drove over the lost aluminum poles. Some of the vehicles were totally damaged. A 59-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution. Part of the load landed in the oncoming lane, where two cars also drove over the objects.
