North Rhine-Westphalia: Hit by car while playing: child seriously injured

Weather (dpa / lnw) - An eleven-year-old boy was hit by a car while playing in the Ennepe-Ruhr district and was seriously injured. The child suddenly ran backwards onto the street between two cars parked on the left-hand side of the road, the police said on Monday. The eleven-year-old was then hit by the car of a 62-year-old. He was hospitalized after the accident on Sunday. According to the police, there are no indications that the driver could have been driving too fast.
