Witten (dpa / lnw) - The fire brigade evacuated three residential buildings in Witten (Ennepe-Ruhr district) because of a leaking gas tank in a backyard. The fire brigade announced that 25 residents, including four children, were being looked after by the rescue service in a bus during the operation on Tuesday evening. Two roads were also temporarily closed.
According to the fire department, a witness had reported the smell of gas. The leak in the safety valve of the liquid gas tank was closed again on Tuesday evening by a specialist company. Nobody got hurt.
