Saxony-Anhalt: a drunk throws a beer bottle at the police officer

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - A drunk insulted several police officers in Magdeburg's main train station and threw a bottle at an officer. The woman was not hit during the operation on Saturday evening, the police said on Monday. The police officers had previously asked the 21-year-old to stop smoking in the underpass of the station. Then the incident happened. When asked to show his ID, the man tried to flee. The police officers held him. A breath alcohol test resulted in 1.55 per thousand. Several investigations are now underway - among other things, because of the attempted dangerous bodily harm and because of illegal smoking in the train station.
