Erfurt (dpa/th) - The long-standing chairman of the Thuringian Teachers' Association, Rolf Busch, has resigned from his post. He justified this with ongoing health challenges, as the association announced on Friday. Busch is a regular school teacher of mathematics and physics and has headed the teachers' association since 1999. Until a successor is elected at the next regular state delegates' meeting in autumn next year, the association will be led by the four deputies. The Thuringian teachers' association claims to have around 3,200 members.
