Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: accident: cyclist avoids the dog and is seriously injured

Ahrenshoop (dpa / mv) - In the Baltic Sea resort of Ahrenshoop (West Pomerania-Rügen), an 85-year-old cyclist was seriously injured during an evasive maneuver for a dog. As a police spokesman said, the accident happened on Monday in the Althagen district, where the town's Boddenhafen is located. According to previous investigations, the pensioner was driving on a path when another cyclist came towards her with a dog. The 85-year-old from Torgelow in Western Pomerania dodged the animal, fell and suffered serious head injuries. She was taken to a clinic by helicopter. The investigations into the cause of the accident are not yet complete.
