Schwerin (dpa/mv) - Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is honoring the entrepreneurs of the year for the 15th time. Applications and proposals can now be submitted, as Economics Minister Reinhard Meyer (SPD) announced on Monday. The award is given in the four categories of entrepreneurial personality, corporate development, securing skilled workers and family friendliness as well as sustainability.
The size of a company or the industry does not matter. According to the information, the submission deadline is March 26th. The prizes are endowed with a total of 15,000 euros.
According to the information, 120 applications and nominations were received last year. The winners were Dockweiler AG in Neustadt-Glewe (Ludwigslust-Parchim district) in the category securing skilled workers and family friendliness, the energy supplier Wemag in Schwerin (sustainability category), the Mecklenburg mattress factory in Warin (Northwest Mecklenburg district) in the corporate development category and the hotel operating company Scheelehof in Stralsund (entrepreneurial personality). A special prize was also awarded.
