Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: thieves steal tons of seed grain in the lake district

Neubrandenburg (dpa/mv) - Burglars stole several tons of seed grain in Neubrandenburg. As a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday, according to current knowledge, the incident happened over the weekend and was noticed and reported on Monday. The thieves are said to have broken into a warehouse at a plant in the northeast of the city and stolen several pallets with five tons of seed grain in boxes. They probably used at least one larger vehicle to transport them away. The pure material damage has so far been given as several thousand euros.
