Steinhagen (dpa / lnw) - Two strangers stole jewelry from the window of a jewelry store in Steinhagen in the Gütersloh district on Wednesday morning. Shortly after midnight, residents informed the officials about loud bangs, the police said. The two suspects fled on foot after the burglary. There was no information on the amount of the loot.
According to the first findings of the officials, the suspects did not enter the store, but only destroyed the window of a display with a previously unknown explosive. According to initial findings, the building was not damaged.
It's the second incident in the jeweler's business in quick succession. Already on May 15, strangers had tried to break into the store.
