Saxony: Minister Dulig on an economic tour of Saxony

Dresden (dpa/sn) - Economics Minister Martin Dulig (SPD) wants to get to know various companies in the Free State on a tour of Saxony. From September 7th to 9th, the minister will visit a total of 14 companies and networks in the districts of Bautzen, Görlitz and Mittelsachsen as well as in the cities of Dresden and Chemnitz, the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Dresden announced. These are examples of how innovative, international and interdisciplinary the Saxon economy is.

With more than 200,000 employees, the automotive, microelectronics, mechanical engineering and health sectors are the four largest economic sectors in Saxony. In addition, other sectors put the state's economy on a very broad footing. "This variety of industries is one of Saxony's recipes for success. It makes our economy fit for the future and gives it more stability in these challenging times," said Dulig. Saxony has the opportunity to be at the forefront in some perspectively central economic areas, such as the new industrial branch of hydrogen economy. "We will use this chance," said Dulig confidently.
