Baden-Württemberg: Was the house fire in Tuttlingen an attempted homicide?

Tuttlingen (dpa / lsw) - A house fire in Tuttlingen about a week ago could have been an attempted homicide. The public prosecutor's office and the police came to this conclusion after initial investigations. Accordingly, a 22-year-old is said to have set the fire in the laundry room of the house. An 18-year-old resident observed the man she did not know late on Saturday evening and alerted the fire brigade. They were able to extinguish the fire on the ground floor and, with the help of a resident, prevent it from spreading to other living areas.

The three residents were able to leave the house in time. A 45-year-old came to a clinic on suspicion of smoke inhalation. On Friday, they did not say why the investigators assume an attempted homicide. Also who the victim should be and other backgrounds were not known. The damage to the building is around 150,000 euros. The investigations are ongoing.
